Install Actually Integrated as an app

Installing gives the builder its own window, a taskbar or dock icon, and a shortcut straight to it — no address bar, no tabs, and a faster way back in than a bookmark. It's still the same site, just running on its own. Once you've opened it at least once online, it keeps working with no connection at all — on a plane, in a dead zone, wherever.

Chrome

Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS

  1. Open the builder in Chrome.
  2. Click the install icon at the right edge of the address bar — a small monitor with a down arrow.
  3. If you don't see it, open the ⋮ menu (top right) and choose Cast, save, and share → Install page as app…
  4. Click Install in the dialog that appears.

Edge

Windows, macOS

  1. Open the builder in Edge.
  2. Click the Apps icon at the right edge of the address bar — a small browser window with a plus sign.
  3. If you don't see it, open the ⋯ menu (top right) and choose Apps → Install this site as an app.
  4. Click Install in the dialog that appears.

Safari

macOS Sonoma or later

  1. Open the builder in Safari.
  2. Open the File menu and choose Add to Dock… (or click the Share button and choose Add to Dock).
  3. Click Add in the dialog that appears.

Safari on iPhone / iPad

iOS, iPadOS

  1. Open the builder in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (a square with an arrow pointing up).
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add in the top-right corner.
Installing doesn't create an account or copy anything anywhere — it's the same browser tab, pinned to its own window and icon. Your projects still live only in this browser, on this device, until you export them (see Docs). Uninstalling later works the same way as any other app on your system, and won't delete anything you've already exported.

Works offline, too: the app caches its own files locally the first time you open it online, so it keeps running with no connection after that — nothing is fetched from anywhere else to make it work. The one thing that still needs a connection is any Data Connection you've wired up yourself (a live API call), since that's real external data, not something this app could sensibly fake while offline.
